7:47 a.m.: assist other agency, Holland Avenue at Yale Street, a school bus driver reports a student is refusing to put on a seat belt, the responding officer reports the student didn’t put on the seat belt because he didn’t want to go to school, the officer reports he spoke with the boy and convinced him to put on his seatbelt;
3:55 p.m.: assist resident, Russell Road, officers were dispatched to a residence to stand by to ensure the peace as a person retrieves property from another person’s residence, the responding officer reports the man collected his belongings without incident;
4:25 p.m.: assist resident, Meadow Street, a caller requests assistance as she collects property at her former-boyfriend’s residence, the responding officer reports that the woman had been granted a protective order which had not been served, the woman collected her belongings without incident;
6:05 p.m.: animal complaint, North Elm Street, a caller report a deer ran into the roadway and he struck it with his vehicle, the responding officer reports the caller said that the deer bolted across the roadway from east to west and was struck, the deer could not be found;
7:21 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports a female party who frequently shoplifts at the store attempted to steal a plastic tablecloth, the caller said that he was able to recover the merchandise but the woman fled, the responding officer reports a search of the area did not yield a suspect;
9:30 p.m.: disturbance, West Silver Street, a caller reports a man is yelling at somebody, the responding officer reports he found two young men in the area and one was holding a flagpole with a U.S flag, the officer reports the man said that he had encountered two youth with the flag which had apparently been taken from a nearby display and chased the boys who dropped the flag when confronted and fled.
