WESTFIELD–A possible police investigation occurred Thursday by the Westfield Police Department but no details are being released by the department.
According to Westfield Police Capt. Michael McCabe, there was a “call for service at Southampton Road.” According to previous reports by WWLP, an officer told them “police are investigating at Westfield’s Twiss Street transfer and recycling center and at an apartment complex located at 50 Southampton Road.”
Due to “Shield” laws cited by McCabe, he could not confirm that information and said that there were no further comments available regarding any investigations.
According to the previous WWLP article, police were also behind the Twiss Street transfer station behind a locked gate.
