WESTFIELD- Police in Westfield are seeking the driver of a vehicle that they believe to be responsible for a hit and run crash Nov. 16 at noon next to the intersection of Union Street and Springdale Road.
Police, in their report, said that the operator of the vehicle that was sent into the small brook that runs next to the intersection was unharmed. That vehicle, a sedan, was traveling east on Union Street when a blue Toyota Rav-4 pulled out of Springdale Road and hit the vehicle, causing tit to careen into the ditch where the stream runs.
Witnesses had reported that the Toyota took off, going east on Union Street and away from the scene. Anyone with information that may lead to the identity of the Toyota driver is encouraged to call the Westfield Police Headquarters at 413-562-5411.
