Westfield News – can you find out what happened to the flashing speed sign towed around on a trailer? They used to put it up here on Western Avenue and Granville Road and it appeared to slow vehicles down quite a bit. Maybe The Chief could get one of his many commanders to blow off the cobwebs and get that thing back out here where we could use it. A Traffic Bureau officer reports that when the speed display sign was last used on Aug. 2 an issue with the battery was discovered. The officer reports that the device will be have to be serviced before it is again used.
