As I drive through Westfield on this brisk Thursday morning I’m appalled to see that at Westfield fire vehicle a Crown Victoria car is still snow covered and driving through town. Now if I hadn’t uncovered my car I be getting a ticket what’s wrong with you Westfield fire you can’t clean your car off. I didn’t know you were above the law. And no it was not responding to a call it was on a casual cruise through town.
I would like to know when the Westfield Police and the businesses along North Elm St. are going to take a stand with the employees walking across the roads not in cross walks after their shifts end. This has become increasingly dangerous as most times they just step right out in front of traffic. I would think the companies would be concerned and advise employees on how to properly cross the road. I would also expect that the Westfield Police would want to take a more proactive approach to this dangerous situation or maybe they will wait until someone is hurt and then take action.
