Yes, I’m calling about the article in Saturday’s paper on Westfield officers being honored. Although I thought it was very nice with the medals, the picture of the medals and one of the officers receiving his medal but in my opinion there could have been more pictures of the other officers that worked very hard to get their promotions and stuff. Just a concerned mother calling in of a Westfield police officer and that’s just my opinion. Thank you. Bye.
Good morning. I’ve just visited the area where our two brand new bridges are located on the North Side. And, number one: we certainly have a lot of water in the Westfield River. Number two: I’m hoping that somebody is going to utilize those four cannons that shoot the water over and above the vicinity of the river. And, number three: you know what? Just a quick idea but that would be a great area for a little Fourth of July half-hour, 15-minute show. If something like that could be planned, a little dedication for war veterans, 9/11 people that there is a monument for… make it like a focal point for July Fourth. Maybe not this year, maybe next year. Think about it, Mr. Mayor. Maybe some of the banks can get involved in this or some of the clubs. An extremely unique area to do a celebration of some type. Thank you very much. Those are my thoughts for today.
