Pulseline: It is always nice to report a good deed. Wednesday early afternoon, as I was leaving my house, I noticed a woman on the ground at Van Deusen Apts., and another woman trying to assist her. I ask if they needed help and proceeded to go to them. As I approached, two young men in their late teens approached, as well. While I did not get their names, I want to let folks know just how great they were. Not only did they assist in getting her up, and into a car, but it was how they spoke with her, in such a positive and reassuring way that made the situation easier to accomplish as the woman has some disabilities their calm reassurance helped immensely. In a time when all the news seems to present is how young men this age are doing not so nice things that it is good to report those not only doing good, but doing it with thought and consideration. I want to thank them, but in that I did not get their names, I figure I could at least acknowledge their deed. – Brian Hoose, Ward 2 City Council.
