A question: how is it that I can drive to Columbus, Ohio, in between 10-11 hours without pushing it? Yes it takes the government’s United States Postal Service four days to get a first-class piece of mail the same distance. Well, in less than two months I have yet another new paper carrier. Maybe if you would pay these people a sensible wage they wouldn’t be quitting like they do. Personally, for 10 cents a paper, I’d tell you, put it where the sun don’t shine. Your house on Noble Ave. has had three carrier changes in the last year: The first person took on another job and could no longer continue the route; the second quit due to a conflict with sports and now you have a great carrier who we hope will be around a long time so tip well!!
So this time we received just a few inches of snow. Yet going through the center of Southwick there are still a lot of sidewalks that haven’t been cleared a day after the storm. The lame excuse of shoveling snow banks obviously doesn’t apply with this storm. The only reason I see are laziness and not wanting to be decent contributing members of our town. To the vast majority of the property owners that did their legal and civic duty, kudos. To the others you should be ashamed of yourselves.
