Here it is. May 5th Monday. And it’s a beautiful morning in Westfield. My husband and I had to go to City Hall to pay three of our real estate tax bills and combined utilities. When we went into the collectors office we were greeted by a woman who looked like she was sucking on a lemon. She was not pleasant at all. Now I know people have bad days but they shouldn’t be taken to work, come to think of it everytime I go into that office they have that same expression, when asked a question they don’t know and reroute you to another Dept. where they don’t know and send you back!! I don’t know what the requirements are for getting this CITY job but one of the requirements should be a personality test. Where in the hell do they think their paychecks come from??? OH WOULD IT BE THE TAXPAYERS OF WESTFIELD!!!!. We also have other problems with retirement not knowing and sending us to personal which they can answer the questions better than retirement what exactly is their job.. Mayor Knapik should take a good look at this Situation. As we left there we went to the Westfield Gas & Electric. here we go again. it was now 10:58 am. I stood there while the middle lady was taking care of a lady that obviously was moving. That’s ok she was doing her job. Now the lady to my left where there was a sign saying[ PAYMENTS ONLY. ]well I could hear her on the phone a private not business related phone call talking away. The lady to the right of me was doing I don’t know what on her computer..They knew I was there and ignored me. This is also a place that we have three bills at. So I stood there from 10:58 because it was up on there t.v. till 11:13, where I finally walked out. This is bad business. But then again, who pay’s their paychecks and all their perks. Dan Howard better take a good look at what is going on down there. This is a nightmare I care not to deal with. And when it comes the day EVERYONE makes payments with their online banking,or through the mail. with all the scenarios Their Jobs will be non existent. They need to take a lesson in being pleasant, courteous, helpful, and put a smile on those faces. I would be smiling everyday with the paychecks and perks that all of you get. And I am sure I am speaking for a lot of people in this City. Thanks for letting me get this out. Have a sparkling day!!!! The WG+E prides itself on providing great customer service and appreciates hearing when we may not have met our customers’ expectations so that we can work on further improvements. As with many businesses, and for the safety and security of our customers and employees, there are video cameras positioned in the lobby. Based upon the information the Pulse Line caller/writer provided, we can confirm that this customer did not receive the level of customer service that we strive to provide and, as a result, she exited the office after a four minute wait. We will certainly use this event as an example in our employee training and I ask that this customer contact me directly so I may personally offer our apologies for any inconvenience this situation caused. Thank you. – Sean Fitzgerald, Customer Service Manager, 572-0100

We slam Ken Fraser for euthanizing an apparently fear-biting dog yet we overlook the conduct of the previous police chief of Southwick who had a poor blind dog euthanized instead of allowing it it’s life to a person who pleaded and begged to adopt it. I personally believe there exists a higher-up official who has a personal vendetta against both Ken and his wife. We have a mayor and a city council that requires alterations, not Ken Frazer.
