I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing! I was coming home from work on October 1st, around 4:45 pm going down Union Street towards Westwood when a saw a Westfield police officer in an SUV coming in the opposite direction doing what seemed to be 70 mph! The reason I’m writing is because he had his lights on but no siren!! I saw him ride up on people’s back ends and they didn’t even know he was there! What is the protocol for officers traveling at that rate of speed? If there’s an emergency shouldn’t have he used the lights and sirens!! I’m glad I was going in the opposite direction of that officer, he surely could have caused an accident. Just saying…..
