This water issue in Westfield is absolutely ridiculous. We have two sides of people on the council that are at odds. In reading the paper yesterday it appears those who claimed Westfield’s water was fine a few short months ago leading up to the election, now are adamant that the water is unsafe and needs to be addressed ASAP to the tune of $13 million dollars. Then, we have some councilors who don’t seem clear on procedure and voted against the bond when they could have kept it in committee to sort it out. Here’s another reason why we shouldn’t elect people who have no board or commission service experience. I feel our politicians make Westfield the laughingstock of Western Mass.
