I would like to introduce Westfield News readers to my new weekly local (New England area) music and concert report for 2013.
The Rawk Report will focus on upcoming concerts, pre-sale information for future shows, reviews and feedback on new music releases and concerts along with your not-so-typical band interviews.
I would like this column to bring attention to the local scene as well as cover shows and releases from well-known artists… so if you are a promoter, club manager, artist or just a general do-gooder and want to send me some print worthy news, I will incorporate as much as I can into the weekly report.

* Drive By Truckers swing into the Calvin Theater on March 14th with tickets going on sale January 18th. Ticket prices $25 + service charge.
* Sevendust and Coal Chamber co-headline some local dates with all tickets going on sale January 18th. They hit the Webster Theater on 4/14, tickets $TBD; Palladium in Worcester on 4/16, tickets $TBD; Hampton Beach Casino on 4/19, tickets $TBD
* Black Rebel Motorcycle Club brings their show to the House of Blues in Boston on May 3rd with tickets priced at $31.65.
* Bad Religion will RAWK the House of Blues in Boston on 3/28. Tickets go on sale January 18th and are priced $34.50 and $44.75
* The long running New England Heavy Metal and Hardcore Festival takes over the Palladium in Worcester for three days, April 19th – 21st. The headliners are Anthrax, Opeth and Suicidal Tendencies. Tickets go on sale January 18th.

* Black Veil Brides will invade the Palladium in Worcester on 1/26 with tickets priced at $25.75
* 3 Doors Down and Daughtry co-headline The DCU Center in Worcester on 2/8 with tickets priced $41.25, 51.50, 61.75 also playing Mohegan Sun Arena on 2/17 with tickets at $49.15
* Matchbox Twenty brings their North Tour to Mohegan Sun on March 8th with tickets priced at $64.70.
* Green Day has rescheduled their Mohegan Sun date and is now April 6th with tickets at $56.05 and $77.20
* Maroon 5 will be live at Mohegan Sun on February 22nd with tickets going for $80.55 and $100.95
