SOUTHWICK – Regina Julia (Milcherska) Heath, age 100, (1916-2017) Ascended Into the Journey of Everlasting Life, on March 14, 2017, in the care of her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Maurice W. Heath, in 2001; a son, Norman Heath in 2001; a daughter, Dorothy Cusson, in 2010; a son-in-law Peter Cusson, in 2000, a grandson, Dale Cusson, in 1976; a daughter-in-law, Jean Heath, and several brothers and sisters. Regina is survived by her son, Roger Heath, and his wife, Gretchen of Ludlow, MA; a son, Karl Heath, of Southwick, MA; and a son, Paul Heath, of West Springfield, MA. She leaves loving nephews Leon Milcherska and his wife Naomi, and Norman Milcherska and his wife Marie, all of South Bend, IN. Regina also leaves 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several beloved nieces and nephews, and many dear, close friends. She was born in Newton, Missouri, then had lived several years in Hyde Park, Vermont, where she and Maurice raised their family. After a number of years of living in Granville, MA, and Summerfield, Florida, she relocated to Southwick, where she lived out her final years. She had spent the last year of her life in the loving care of the wonderful staff of Heritage Hall in Agawam, where she recently celebrated her 100th year of life. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and spending time with her loved ones. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her family and friends. A devout Roman Catholic, Regina practiced her faith as a long time parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
Funeral services begin at 9:00 AM on Wednesday March 22, 2017 from the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, (Highway 202/10) , Southwick with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick. The burial will take place in the Spring in Hooper Cemetery, Hyde Park, Vermont. The calling hours for family and friends are from 4:00PM – 7:00PM on Tuesday March 21, 2017 in the funeral home.
