Good morning Westfield! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weekend. It’s a busy one for me as I am balancing Army Drill with a few events back here in the city. I’ll keep my update short this week.
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of visiting Stavros Center for Independent Living in Springfield. This organization works to provide people with disabilities with the tools and knowledge to live independent lives. I had the opportunity to learn about the important work they are doing at Stavros and what we can be doing on a state level to help. I appreciated the chance to gather some valuable information from the folks at Stavros.
Yesterday was the Investiture of Dr. Ramon Torrecilha as Westfield State University’s twentieth President. It was an honor to be present at this ceremony. I wish Dr. Torrecilha the best of luck at Westfield State and offer my sincere welcome to the Westfield community.
That’s all for this week Westfield! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns at [email protected] or 413-572-3920.
