Revenge not so sweet

WESTFIELD- A woman seeking revenge for being fired is charged with stealing a former co-worker’s purse.
A woman called police on July 31 at 12:54 a.m. to report that
while she was at the Citgo Gas Station, located at 439 N. Elm Street, her purse was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle, according to police logs.
The incident was caught on video and the defendant later admitted that it was her on the video, according to court logs.
On October 15, that defendant, Sonya M. Murray, 33, of Westfield, was arraigned on three charges: larceny over $250 (the victim’s purse contained $500 cash as well as cards and other personal items); felony breaking and entering motor vehicle nighttime (the victim’s car) and trespass.
Murray had been terminated from Citgo due to a different incident and has been trespassed from the business since September 18, 2014, according to court logs.
The defendant blames the victim, who is also a Citgo employee, for her termination, which is why she allegedly stole her purse, Westfield Police Det. Scott Phelon’s report stated.
Murray was released on her personal recognizance at arraignment and is due back in court on December 14.
