WESTFIELD: 
Richard L. Pomeroy, 89, of Westfield died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at home. He was born in Westfield on May 15, 1927 to Russell B. and Edna Lucas Pomeroy. Dick was a graduate of Westfield High School and was a WWII Army Veteran, serving in the European Theater. He was the owner of the former RB Pomeroy Insurance Agency for thirty-five years. Dick served on the Board of Directors of the Woronoco Bank Corp, was Past President of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce, the Westfield Scholarship Foundation, the Westfield Insurance Assn. and the Westfield Board of Realtors and was a Charter Director of the Mass Assn. of Insurance Agents and Brokers. Dick was a fifty year member of Mt. Moriah Lodge of Masons, the Scottish Rite Bodies, the Hadji Unit of Melha Temple Shrine, the Royal Order of Jesters, and a former member of the Westfield Kiwanis Club. He was the widower of Carol M. (Greany) Pomeroy who died on January 19, 2009. Dick leaves a son James R. Pomeroy and his wife Judy of Cumming, GA, a daughter Judith Pac of Westfield, two grandchildren, Jason Pomeroy and his wife Naoko of Kahalui, Maui and Derrick Pomeroy and two great grandchildren Jacoby and Timothy Pomeroy. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Pomeroy and a sister Helen Pais. The Funeral will be Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield.
