WESTFIELD – Robert “Boo” Anthony Gallo, 65, passed away suddenly on November 18th, 2024. His family is deeply saddened by the unexpected loss.
Boo was born on February 12th, 1959, in his beloved hometown of Westfield, MA, the fifth of six children. He attended schools, had many friends and met the love of his life in town. After graduating from Westfield High School in 1977, he purchased the home he grew up in, making it a home for his own family too.
Boo married Kathleen Doran Gallo on April 8th, 1989. Soon after, they welcomed two daughters. He was the best husband and father – teaching his girls a love of hockey and a passion for long beach days. His favorite place to be was the cottage in Eastham with his wife, daughters and granddaughters.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert L. Gallo and Mary Ellen Anderson Gallo. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathleen Gallo, his daughters Kathryn Gallo Megraw, Kelly Gallo, his granddaughters Caroline and Margaret Megraw, and his dog Penny.
Boo is also survived by his siblings, Alan Gallo and his wife Heidi, Richard Gallo and his wife Barbara, Roberta Gallo, William Gallo and his wife Cheryl, and Susan Gallo. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Boo was an incredibly hard worker and had an enormous heart and sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He made an impact on many lives and will be missed forever.
