WESTFIELD – 
Robert R. Keeney, 82, (1937-2020) passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in Gardner, MA to the late Ralph T. and Alice W. (Dunning) Keeney. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Arlington High School, 1960 graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science and a 1973 graduate of Western New England University with a Master’s in Business Administration. Bob worked as a salesman for Merck Pharmaceuticals for 32 years, retiring in 1994. During College he was in ROTC and he served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He was a member of Agawam Congregational Church, a member of their choir and a singer for the Westfield Festival Chorus. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara D. (Yapps) Keeney on January 23, 2019 and is survived by his two sons, David C. Keeney of Westfield and Michael R. Keeney and his wife Amy of Southwick, his four cherished grandchildren, Gari Keeney, Brooke Keeney, Tyler Keeney and Jack Keeney and his great granddaughter Kiera Keeney. Bob’s funeral will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11:45 AM in the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. Agawam, followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 30th from 4-7PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
