
WESTFIELD – Roger Philip Cox entered into eternal rest on December 7th, 2025. He was the husband of the late Anita L. Cox married in 1959 for 64 years. Born in Springfield on May 22nd, 1935; son of the late Lewis F. Cox and Helen R. Cox.
He graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1953. A 1968 engineering graduate from WNEC in Springfield, MA and a graduate of PWA Tool Design School in Hartford, CT. Roger served as an electrician mate in the United States Naval Reserve for 12 years. Roger worked at various local companies as a draftsman, sales engineer and chief engineer.
Roger and his wife were world travelers and loved long cruises. They spent many years motor boating and sailing on Lake George, NY. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield.
He leaves his son Roger Jr. and his wife Lisa Ann (Disley) Cox of Ludlow.
Calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 12th at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow service in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
