GRANVILLE – Ronald E. Humason, 84, of Granville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home in Granville. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Nancy L. (Welch) Humason. He spent the later part of his life with his loving devoted companion Elaine Gogal. Ronald was born in Westfield on December 15, 1935 and was the son of the late Edward and Edna (Lafogg) Humason. He was a truck driver prior to becoming partners at Town Line Auto Salvage in Granville and later opening his own place R.E.Humason Inc. in Southwick before retiring at the age 77. Ronald became the Director of the Westfield Lions Club in 1963 in addition he enjoyed auto racing, fishing, football, lottery, eating out and his dog Roxy.
He leaves behind his daughter Michaelene and husband Richard Gurka of Westfield, son Ronald Humason of Southwick, daughter Faye and husband Edward Parks of Southwick, daughter Nancy Cortesi of Ludlow, son Randal of Huntington and son Rodney. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, William Houghton, Angela Cortesi, Sarah Acus, Anthony Cortesi, Allison Gogol, Kerry Wolfe, Kelly Parks, Ryan Humason, Randy Humason, Robert Humason, Reilly Humason, Rustyn Humason, Raethyn Humason and 8 great grandchildren, sister Nancy and her husband Durwood Stone of Westfield, brother Donald and wife Alberta Humason of Westfield, sister Darlene Biggs of Westfield. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his infant brother Richard Humason and sister Joyce Meacham. He also leaves behind Elaine’s two children Sandra Gogol of Alexandria VA, Laura and her husband Brad Burnette and son Danny of Granville.
