WESTFIELD: Ruth (Norton) Griffin, 87, of Westfield, beloved wife of Robert Griffin died Saturday March 14, 2015 in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, in time to be with her beloved “Bob” for St. Patrick’s Day. She was born in Holyoke on May 29, 1927 the daughter of the late James and Edith (Sullivan) Norton, and was educated in Holyoke schools. Ruth was employed as a real estate agent for Landry & Lyons, and White Co. for several years, retiring in 2000. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 2013. Ruth is survived by a son, Robert Griffin, Jr, and his wife Marla of Havana, FL, a daughter, Joanne Brochetti and her husband Ray of Westfield and three grandchildren, Anthony Brochetti of Westfield, Ashley Griffin of Havana, FL, and Angela Brochetti of State College,PA. She was predeceased by her seven siblings. She also leaves her many dear friends and neighbors in the Western Circle area, including Betsy and Billy Cavanaugh. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 1pm in St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett St., Westfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hour will be held Wednesday prior to the service from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St, Westfield.
