WESTFIELD: Samuel F. Genovese Jr., 62, of Westfield died Tuesday December 23, 2014 in Mercy Hospital. He was born in Springfield on October 30, 1952 to Samuel F. Genovese Sr. and Lorraine F. (Mesick) Genovese. Sam was a lifelong resident of Westfield and attended local schools. He worked for thirty eight years as an equipment operator for the city of Westfield DPW Dept. Sam was a member of the Italian Fraternal Club, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a NASCAR enthusiast. He leaves a son Anthony Genovese of Westfield, a daughter Nicole Murray of Easthampton, two grandchildren, Jocelyn and Gabriella and several aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones. The funeral will be Friday December 26th at 6 PM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Calling hours will precede the service at the funeral home from 4-6 PM. Firtionadams.com
