BECKET, MA – Sandra Jean (Hawley) LaBonbard, passed away on October 20, 2013 at the age of 75. She was born on May 14, 1938 in Vermont to Menzo and Gertrude Ingalls.
Sandy was a longtime resident of the Berkshires having lived most of her adult life in Huntington and Becket MA. She spent much of her life care taking Senior Citizens and abandoned pets. She was a committed animal activist and dedicated her life to rescuing many animals and dogs through her private Doberman Rescue League.
Sandy is survived by her five children; Dale Hawley of Huntington, Lynne Labombard of Florida, Robert Hawley Jr. of Southwick, Jacqueline Flynn of Becket, Clinton Hawley of Becket, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and her loving friend and former husband of 31 years, Allan LaBonbard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. at the O’Brien Hilltown Funeral Home, Huntington, MA followed by burial in the Norwich Bridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
