Sean Patrick Forshay, beloved son of Carrie and Edward Wienckowski of Delaware and Patrick and Fiona Forshay of Scotland, passed away on February 13, at the age of 37, as yet one more tragic victim of the insidious disease of the opioid epidemic. Sean was born in Hartford, CT, and raised in Granville, MA.
In addition to his parents and step-parents, he leaves behind a brother Michael and his husband Robert, his long-time partner Jennifer Trempe, his two beautiful daughters Emma and Ella, who he loved to the moon and back, his Aunt Gene (McLoughlin), Uncle Doug (Barber) and cousins John, David and Lindsey.
Sean achieved his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Westfield State University in 2014. Other than his family, nothing sparked his passion more than fishing.
He was sweet and loving and will be sadly missed. Donations can be made to shatterproof.org in Sean’s name, an organization whose goal it is to change the way addiction is treated and to end the stigma. The Williamsburg Funeral Home was entrusted with his cremation and a memorial service for family and close friends will be planned at a future date.
