WESTFIELD – The Westfield Police Department reports that a city resident, Lawrence Sherlaw, 75, of 80 Broadway, who has been designated a Level 3 offender by the Sex Offender Registry Board, has registered with the department.
Sherlaw is a Caucasian male 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 18o pounds. His eyes are blue and has white hair.
In 2007, Sherlaw was convicted of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 14 years-of-age five counts of rape and abuse of a child.
The Sex Offender Registry Board has determined that a Level 3 offender is at a high risk to re-offend and public safety is served by this notification.
The community is being notified because Sherlaw lives in Westfield.
Sherlaw is not presently wanted by any law enforcement agency for any offense.
This, according to the Westfield Police, “is a notice which is a part of the Level 3 Sex Offender Community Notification. Please review the notice as the individual in this notice is at high risk to re-offend. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 6, §§ 178C-178Q, the individual who appears on this notification has been designated as a LEVEL 3 SEX OFFENDER by the Sex Offender Registry Board and is now living in Westfield.
