SOUTHWICK – Shannon L (Trudel) Colon, 40, passed away June 5, 2013 after a long fight with cancer. She and her husband, Victor M. Colon, started their family and lived for 10 years in Westfield, MA. They moved their family back to “the Wick” (Southwick) where her most precious memories were made.
Along with leaving her husband, she leaves her handsome son, Jeremy and her beautiful daughter, Jordan. She loved her children more than anything in this world. She also leaves “The Best Sister in the World” Dawn Labbe and her husband Anthony of East Granby, CT as well as “Her Poppy” Maurice (Moe) Trudel of Southwick, MA. Shannon was predeceased by her mother, Cynthia “Cindy” (Hulse) Trudel in 2008. She will be missed by her sister-in-laws, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, amazing friends, work family and her beloved pooch Percy. A special thank you to Dr. Myers, cousin Kimmy Kennedy and especially her cancer nurse Connie for making a horrible year bearable. She insists that she couldn’t have fought the fight she did without all of her childhood friend’s love and support. Shannon was a 1991 graduate of Southwick-Tolland Regional High School. Shannon started a career in the medical field by working as a home health-aid before earning her Registered Nursing degree at STCC in 1999.
