Shari Trzasko

WESTFIELD – Shari Trzasko passed away on July 31, 2025, at Baystate Noble after a brief illness.

She was born in Springfield on August 9, 1957, to the late Walter and Frances (Jarvis) Trzasko. Shari is survived by her brother John Dale Trzasko and his wife Pam, her nephew Justin Trzasko and her companion of 45 years Michael Longey. She has many cousins she leaves behind along with many dear friends.

Shari was a lifelong resident of Westfield. After graduating from Westfield High school, she then went on to STCC to get her degree in Radiology. After graduating from STCC she worked at Baystate Hospital for over 35 years doing x-ray and CT scans.

Shari enjoyed many activities, but skiing was one her favorites. She was a member of the Springfield Ski Club for over 40 years. In addition, she enjoyed traveling to ski to Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and even made a trip to France to ski. Her favorite thing about skiing was the friends she skied with.

But she liked to get away to a warm place after skiing, she made many trips to Hawaii and the various Caribbean Islands. Later in life she made many trips to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather.

She had an adventurous nature for trying new things. Shari enjoyed a glider ride on the north shore of Oahu, a hot air balloon ride, a submarine ride in Maui, zip lining, climbing Mt. Washington and Mt. Katahdin. She was always willing to try something new.

The one thing she loved the most was being with family and friends. Shari saw or spoke with mother and father every day, after their passing she visited her brother almost every day. She had the most fun with family at holidays. She loved to go out with friends for a long meal and great conversations at a restaurant.

Her family would like to extend thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Baystate Noble and Baystate Hospice for the care and support given to Shari, they truly made a difference at a difficult time.

Shari will be deeply missed by her coworkers, friends and family. Arrangements will be handled by Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085. All services will be private. www.firtionadams.com.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
