WESTFIELD: Shirley J. Williams, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in Heritage Hall North in Agawam. She was born in Springfield on January 19, 1932 to the late Benjamin and Stacia (Moson) Paradysz. Shirley was raised in Westfield and graduated from Westfield High School in 1949. She worked at Westfield State College. She married her true love, Edgar, in 1951. Shirley played the violin in the Westfield High School Orchestra and studied voice with Professor Amilcare Cerbonicci and Willard Clark. Shirley also loved going tag saling. She loved to sing and play piano. She acted in plays at the Women’s Club in Westfield.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Edgar. She leaves her loving children, Sherry L. Sterner and her husband Phil of Tennessee, Holly T. Turner and her husband Vail of Southwick, and Scott L. Williams and his late wife Michelle of Pennsylvania, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Shirley will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 12:30PM in the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085 followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave., Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the service from 10:30-12:30PM.
