SOUTHWICK – Shirley M. Lecrenski, 89, of Southwick, beloved wife of the late Frank A. Lecrenski, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Baystate Noble Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA on September 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris (Mitchell) Fell. Shirley attended Agawam Public Schools. She married Frank A. Lecrenski during World War II while he served in the U.S. Navy and they began their family. She enjoyed the opportunity of being a homemaker and a stay-at-home Mom while raising her children into young adults. She also helped her husband manage their school bus business, Lecrenski Transportation, and was a school bus instructor for many years. She was a past member of the First Congregational Church of Westfield and Christ the King Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Children were the love of her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and vacation with her family with many good times spent in Florida and Virginia Beach. Shirley’s greatest pride and joy in life was the time she spent with her loving family. Her legacy of love is carried on by her children, Barbara L. Lecrenski with whom she lived with in Southwick; Nancy Lee Kriesak and her husband Roger of Westfield; Donald S. Lecrenski and his wife Susan of Feeding Hills; Dana A. Lecrenski and his wife Tammy of Westfield; David W. Lecrenski and his wife Linda of Westfield; and her youngest son Darrell J. Lecrenski and his wife Marcia of Southwick. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Theresa Lecrenski, of Westfield and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband who died in 2002, she was pre-deceased by her oldest son Frank A. Lecrenski, Jr. in 2001, also by 3 brothers, William, Bernard, and Carl Fell and 2 sisters, Joyce O’Connell and Beverly Brown.
The funeral service at the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home will be private with burial in the Spring.
