WESTFIELD – It wasn’t just another Saturday night at Shaker Farms Country Club in Westfield. More than 145 people took time out of their schedules to help the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Springfield, a local charitable organization that provides the highest quality care for a wide range of pediatric orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders and diseases.
Susan Austin, organizer of the Trivia Night for Shriner’s noted that the event took in more than $7,000 with all of the proceeds going directly to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. To ensure the maximum benefit, all of the food was donated by local establishments such as Shaker Farms Country Club, North Elm Butcher Block, Peppermill Catering, Memo’s, April Thomas, Jackie Conklin and Chris Clifford.
