2012 STATE CHAMPION WESTFIELD LITTLE LEAGUE SENIOR SOFTBALL ALL-STARS
WESTFIELD – The Westfield Little League Softball Senior All-Stars will hold a car wash, and can and bottle drive Saturday, July 21 at the Dunkin’ Donuts at Little River Plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fundraising efforts will help defray the cost of participating in the Eastern Regionals, beginning late next week in Worcester. According to team officials, Little League softball funds were nearly depleted last during the Senior and Junior All-Star regional runs.
Also, on Monday, the Friendly’s restaurant located at 21 Southampton Road will hold a “Family Fun Day.” Twenty percent of the checks that day will help cover the costs associated with playing in the upcoming regionals.
Nearly $8,000 is needed to fund the trip.
The team will receive a city flag from local officials tomorrow to represent the team in the tournament.
