SOUTHWICK – The identity of the individual that died as a result of the single motor vehicle accident on Feeding Hills Road Monday morning has been identified as Robert Goodwin, 76, of Southwick. Mr. Goodwin was the passenger in the crash.

The single vehicle accident occurred Monday morning on Feeding Hills Rd in the vicinity of Great Brook Dr.
At the time it appeared that the east bound travelling vehicle left the roadway after crossing both travel lanes and struck a tree on the north side of Feeding Hills Road.
The operator of the vehicle, whose name has not yet been released suffered minor injuries and was transported to Baystate Hospital in Springfield while Mr. Goodwin, the front seat passenger, was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital where he died as a result of the accident.
Southwick Sgt. Robert Fisk along with the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team was a part of the investigation. The official cause of the accident hasn’t been determined yet.
