A Westfield native who started his professional career in the Westfield Public Schools, Pescitelli has been working in the Enfield Public Schools since 2006.

After going back to school to get his Master’s Degree from UMass Amherst, Pescitelli returned to Enfield Public Schools in 2009 as a classroom teacher. Shortly after he was appointed as the math coordinator responsible for grades sixth to twelve while also being in charge of curriculum, assessment, and supervising the math department.

Having experience working with a wide range of teenagers, the assistant principal position was a great opportunity for Pescitelli.

“The variety of student population really attracted me and knowing the community that I was going to potentially be able to work in,” said Pescitelli.

Pescitelli is eager to develop strong relationships, something that wasn’t easy to come by at a larger school system.

“You really don’t feel that strong connection,” said Pescitelli. “I knew I would be able to have that and make those connections in a smaller school.”

Pescitelli’s primary duties will focus on student affairs, including student activities and handling student discipline. The first day of school at Southwick Regional is August 30.

“I’m looking forward to being able to work with all the students and staff here,” said Pescitelli.
