BRIDGEWATER – Presented by the Bridgewater State University department of Theater and Dance, the BSU Dance Company will be holding their annual Dance Kaleidoscope production on Thursday April 3 at 7:30 p.m., Friday April 4 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday April 5 at 7:30 p.m. All performances will be held on campus in Bridgewater at 19 Park Ave., in the Rondileau Campus Center Auditorium. This year’s production is being overseen by the watchful eye of artistic director Dr. Nancy Moses, while the pieces themselves are choreographed by, and starring, advanced- level students and faculty of the Bridgewater State Dance Company. This concert features wide variety of performances including pieces that range from adventures in psychology, the development of art through the decades, and fracking; with music ranging from Igor Stravinsky to dubstep.
Bridgewater State faculty Dr. Jody Weber and Prof. Jenifer Sarver will be presenting pieces, along with student choreographers. The students include: Carissa Rebelo (Dartmouth), Madison Clouatre (Dudley), Devon Morse (Kingston), Alexandra Litwak (Oxford), Courtney Puza (Southwick), Lindsey Vieira (Tewksbury), Michelle Abrams (Wellesley), Valerie Albano (Wilmington).
The Dance Kaleidoscope production has been an integral part of the Bridgewater State Dance Program for several years, and promises to continue its run of success. Admission for the general public is $10.00. Tickets are $8.00 for senior citizens, students with ID, and those with military ID.
