SOUTHWICK – The Southwick Police Department is fully functional this evening despite a power outage at the station on Depot Street.
A dispatcher at the station said this afternoon that the station was running on “partial power” and Western Massachusetts Electric Company was working on the problem.
The reason for the outage was unknown but it was reported that it was a problem with the pole and there was a backup generator.
Residents should rest assured that the dispatch center and police are able to respond to calls.
