WESTFIELD – Stella C. (Bertolino) Pihl, 90, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Westfield, MA on June 10, 1923. She was the wife of the late, Ralph E. Pihl (1979), and daughter of the late Emilio and Anna (Danek) Bertolino.
Stella graduated from Westfield High School in June, 1941 and married Ralph on September 20th that same year. Stella and Ralph owned and operated a dairy farm on Coles Hill Road in Southwick from 1949 to 1973. Upon the sale of the farm they moved to Westfield.
Besides her husband Ralph, Stella was predeceased by her sister, Florianna Case. She is survived by two sisters, Emilia Brzoska of Southwick and Josephine Kotowski of Westfield. She also leaves 14 cherished nieces and nephews.
A memorial service in celebration of Stella’s life will be held at the Southwick Congregational Church on Saturday, April 12th at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
