To the Editor,
The cannabis economy in Massachusetts should not have to sue Governor Baker every time it wants to practice what is legal.
The Governor declared 2,942 liquor stores as essential. Ten days ago he signed a law allowing 7,093 restaurants to sell alcohol as part of takeout or delivery orders.
Surely the 402 legal cannabis companies that are open or currently in the licensing pipeline can be trusted to observe all appropriate precautions during the current crisis.
The Cannabis Control Commission has issued guidance that enabled medical marijuana to remain open. This same guidance can also be applied to the adult-use marketplace.
