Westfield – Susan M. (Barnes) Falcetti, 64, of Westfield, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, November 10, 2016 after a very short battle with lung cancer. Sue was born July 15, 1952 in Westfield, Mass, the daughter of the late Francis and Marion (Harrop) Barnes. Sue attended Southwick schools and graduated from Southwick High School. Sue had a full career of manufacturing production work. She started at the Buxton Co. in Agawam after High School. She later spent over twenty years at H.B. Smith in Westfield and finished at Savage Arms in Westfield. Her scheduled retirement date was June 30, 2017. On April 24, 1976 in Westfield she married Alfred Falcetti Jr, who she leaves. Besides her husband, she is survived by her two children Donna Falcetti and her husband Dr. Seth Eichenlaub of Hadley and Michael Falcetti of Agawam, her four beloved grandchildren: Lucas Falcetti and Juliana, Joseph and Bella Eichenlaub, her two siblings John Barnes and wife Kathy of Belchertown and June Williams of Easthampton,her brother Francis “Barney” Barnes of Florida predeceased her 5 months earlier. She also leaves her sister-in-law Patricia Barnes of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews and her special aunt and godmother Ethalyn Jakobowski of Southwick and the extended Jakobowski family. Sue is being remembered as a very hard working person at her places of employment and also at home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for the holidays and picnics, and she especially enjoyed Christmas which was held at her home for the last 36 years. Her family would like to thank Baystate Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice for her Hospice care. The funeral for Sue will be held on Monday November 14th at 11 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2-5pm.
