WESTFIELD: Susan (Mulford) Kana, 68, (1947-2015) died Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Genesis Health Care in Westfield. Susan was born in Jamestown NY, 19 April 1947 to the late Hugh and Eva (Armstrong) Mulford. She moved to Westfield with her parents in 1962, and graduated from Westfield High School in 1965. She met and married her high school sweetheart Bill. They were married in 1967. She accompanied Bill across the country as he completed his career in the Marines. Moving to Kingsville Texas in 1985, she worked aboard the Naval Air Station there in finance and special services departments. Finally returning to Westfield in 1997 where she settled down with Bill.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, a son William and his wife Windy of Chantilly Virginia, a daughter Jennifer of Columbus Ohio, and a granddaughter, Sydney Grace Kana of Londonderry New Hampshire.
A private graveside service is planned. Donations in Susan’s name may be made to Noble Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Lynn Katz Oncology Unit at Baystate Medical in Springfield, or to Genesis Health Care in Westfield. The Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, Westfield, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
