WESTFIELD – The Arbors at Westfield’s residents are at it again, rockin’ (walkin’) and a-rollin’. They are doing what they do best – being involved with the community and giving back.
Westfield Vocational Students made The Arbors residents their t-shirts for their walk. Then, every resident who is walking wore one and made a donation, which raised $208. The plan was to have the residents do three laps out in front green to The Arbors. Most residents did finish the three laps. One of our residents, Harvey, finished an amazing five laps. He was very determined, stopping briefly for a drink of water and continuing on his way.
The money raised will be going towards the Comprehensive Breast Care Program over at Noble Hospital. Breast cancer touches a lot of our hearts and any way we can help we will.
The Arbors Assisted Living Communities has a Non-Profit “Arbors Gives Back” and we raise money for different causes.
One of our residents Olga has been selling “pink” cupcakes for the same cause, which brought in over $120.
With all of these efforts, the residents at The Arbors have raised over $325 for such a great cause.
