WESTFIELD – Theresa C. (Conlon) Baginski, 85, of Westfield, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Westfield. She was born in Westfield on March 20, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Duval) Conlon.
Theresa was the widow of Edwin C. Baginski, who died on March 16, 2008, who together celebrated 52 years of marriage. She leaves three sons, Alex Baginski and his wife Joanne of Blandford, Jamie Baginski of Westfield and Thomas Baginski and his wife Allison of Charlotte, VT; two daughters, Gayle Begley and her husband Cornelius of Springfield, Joanne Hunter and the recently deceased Tim Hunter of Lawrenceville, GA. Theresa also leaves nine grandchildren, Erica, Brendan, and Neil Begley, Rachel and Jenna Baginski, Sidney, Jack, Jane and Sam Hunter; a special niece, Marsha Hall of Westfield; her sister-in-Law, Priscilla Conlon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Hall; her brother, Paul Conlon and son-in-law, Tim Hunter.
Theresa was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield. She was an avid bingo player and a regular at Friendly’s and Café Santorini’s Restaurants in Westfield. She was a great Grandmother, “Nanny” for her grandchildren and loved her family around her always. She will be greatly missed by her circle of friends that she has had for many years, including Carol, Jean, Carol, Joan, Jeanne and many others.
The funeral will be Tuesday, January 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, January 7th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
