Thomas A. Baker, 72, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at home. He was born on October 27, 1942 to the late Thomas and Mary (Moore) Baker. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield where he attended local schools and was a 1960 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. He received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Northampton Commercial College. He spent 35 years in the Air National Guard. He worked with his father T.J. Baker as ageneral contractor. He was a member of American Legion Post #124. Tom leaves his wife Kathleen (Murphy) Baker, two sons Brian T. Baker of Boulder, Co and Daniel J. Baker of Westfield, his sister Michaelean Hebda and her husband Joe of Westfield. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Jack Murphy of Wolcott, CT and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister Mary Jane Ryan. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday September 15th from 4-7 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
