NORTH ADAMS – Westfield Technical Academy baseball pitcher Riley Sullivan scattered three hits, allowed three runs (all unearned), struck out six batters and walked six in a rain-soaked, five-inning 5-3 won over McCann Tech on the road Friday.
Deven Werbiskis (double, RBI, 2 runs), Andrew Navarro (RBI, 2 runs), Dacota Durkee (RBI), and Tobey Barlow each had a hit for the Tigers.
Westfield Tech took the game’s first lead, scoring three runs in the top of the third. McCann Tech battled back with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The Tigers regained a three-run lead with two more runs in the top of the fifth. The Hornets countered with one run in the bottom of the fifth. The game was called early on in the bottom of the sixth.
“I like that we took the lead and we didn’t give it back,” said Westfield Tech baseball coach Bob Eak, whose team improved to 6-3 overall, 6-2 Tri-County North.

Southwick’s Sarah Hough went 2-for-5 with a double, home run and 6 RBIs; Rams’ Angelina Wynglarz finished a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run, a walk, and five RBIs.
Elisha Crump and Norah Ayers each homered for Ware.

Mason Imbriglio (12 digs, 6 aces, 1 assist), Jace Turegon (5 digs, 1 ace, 12 kills, 1 block), Grayson Poole (3 digs, 1 ace, 2 kills, 16 assists, 4 blocks) led Southwick to victory.

Bombers deal Cards loss
Westfield 22, Pope Francis 13
Cam Theriault (3 goals, 6 assists) and Chris Racicot (7 goals, 2 assists) tallied nine points apiece to help lead Westfield to victory. Bombers’ Andrew Dion finished with six goals and one assist.
Other Bombers offensive contributors included: Tristan Koumentakos (1 goal, 3 assists), Aidan Fitzgerald (1 goal, 2 assists), Nick Bates (2 goals), Ryan Cimini (1 goal, 1 assist), Race Kiniry (1 goal, 1 assist), Drew Theriault (1 assist), and Blake Braceland (1 assist).
Westfield goalie Aaron Hooben made 19 saves.
Matt Collins, Mke Antonellis, Sean Rowbotham, Declan Matthews, and Sean Talbot played outstanding defense for Westfield, holding Pope Francis to one goal on six man-up opportunities. Braceland dominated the faceoff X, creating multiple offense opportunities for the Bombers, allowing them to capture and maintain the lead.
