Greetings my name is Gary Wolfe and I am running for one of the seven open seats for councilor-at-large for this upcoming election in Westfield.
I grew up in neighboring Southwick attended and graduated from Southwick High School. Majoring in business and graphic arts.
Now at 48 years old and proud to call Westfield my home for the last 17 + years as a tax-paying citizen. Owning my home at 50 Taylor Avenue, having done that all on my one income. As a single person of average income I know how to budget wisely and live a happy life.
Many attributes that make me a good candidate or to continually give back to the community of Westfield. Shortly after becoming a resident I completed and graduated from the Westfield citizens police program. Currently serve on the Westfield emergency food board of directors as treasurer. Elder, trustee and choir member at my church, St John’s Lutheran. Also currently active with the city’s 350th committee volunteering my time under the subgroup fundraising.
After working 20-plus years in manufacturing as an operator technician. I now currently work for Bimbo Bakeries USA managing the Freihofer’s Bakery Outlet in West Springfield.
I thank God everyday and look forward to this path I’m on. I will listen and work hard to help all those in our great Community here in Westfield. Serving as a counselor at Large I would help to bring our city government together and work with our mayor for the benefit of all.
Helping to control spending and keep our budget check is top priority. I would encourage more business small and large to make Westfield their home.
The next few years are critical to maintaining our current police, fire, and schools. With hard work and teamwork we can continue to provide first class operations in the city. Maintain our City’s infrastructure, roads, Bridges, parks in recreational opportunities must be kept at a priority one level.
Having run my current campaign with no fundraising and just getting my message out seems to be resonating with voters. I’m a genuine person who would serve this community well and always be a voice for the little guy. I have no political agenda and just want to make Westfield greater than it already is. When voting next Tuesday November 7th please JOIN THE PACK and vote Gary Wolfe as councilor-at-large.
One last note I may not be a polished politician, but I’m a diamond in the rough Who Will Shine for you.
