We read and watch news every day that often doesn’t capture the goodness of people and a community. We would like to take this opportunity to capture the goodness and generosity of the people and businesses in Westfield and outside of our borders.
Over one hundred and fifty people attended a benefit for a first grade student recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma held at Westfield Technical Academy. Through the kindness and generosity of many, we were able to provide the family with much needed resources as they continue their battle against this disease.
We are grateful to many individuals and sponsors that made our successful benefit possible. Thank you to the Bard, Loya, Kirchner, Robb, Rokoz and Munger families for your generous support and kindness. Thank you to Design the Line, Best Auto Service and Sales, Elm Pizza, Pepsi, Hood, Expert Printing, Dunkin Donuts, Big Y, Soft Touch Car Wash, All Star Towing, Friendly Car Wash, Shaker Farms, Little George’s, Ninety Nine Restaurant, Oh! OptimumHealth, Barber Parlor, Sophy’s Nails, D & J’s Hash House, Arnold’s Meats, Manny’s, Meadows Market, Sarat Ford, Radio Shack, Italian Bread Shop, Dashing Diva’s Nails and Salon, Whip City Jerky, Shea’s Barbers, The Sign Shop, Zuber’s Ice Cream and Deli, WSKB, and The Westfield News. We are also appreciative of the generosity of our city wide employees from Fort Meadow, Russell Elementary, City Hall, Payroll, Police and Fire.
We could not have accomplished such a big undertaking without the kindness of Westfield Technical Academyleadership for opening your school for us and especially the Culinary Arts students led by Mr. Mucciarone (Mooch) who contributed their expertise in cooking, setting up and dismantling after hours. This program and all the programs at the school are shining gems in our city.
Lastly, to the gracious, talented and caring staff of Franklin Avenue Elementary who set our sights on this goal and never once imagined the extraordinary outpouring of support that we would have for one little person, together we can accomplish great things.
