WESTFIELD—During the Westfield Rotary Food Fest next weekend, the city’s police department announced that there will be a road closure and detours associated with the event.
Westfield Police advise that Elm Street, extending from the Franklin Street intersection to the School Street intersection both north- and south-bound, will be closed for the Rotary Food Fest Aug. 25 and 26. The closure will begin on Friday, Aug. 25. At 7 a.m., and will extend until midnight on Sunday morning, Aug. 27.
Detours will be as follows:
For travelers heading south on Route 10/202 from the north side of the city, traffic will turn right onto Franklin Street (Route 20 West), then at the next traffic light turn left onto Washington Street. Continue south on Washington Street to the traffic light, then turn left onto Court Street, right onto Pleasant Street and follow signs.
For travelers heading north on Route 10/202 from the south side of the city, traffic will be diverted onto Route 20 east/Main St. then left onto Mechanic St. to the end and then turning left onto Meadow St which merges back with Route 10/202 north.
For travelers heading east on Route 20 from Russell Rd/Franklin St, traffic will turn right onto Washington St and continue south to Court St., turning left onto Court St. then following the marked signs for Route 20 east.
For travelers heading west on Route 20 from Main St, traffic will flow around Park Square and then west on Court St. then turning right onto Washington St to the traffic light then left onto Route 20 west.
