Both men were hit by the pellets in the neck area. One of the men, Andrew Booth, a Westfield resident, said that he initially thought he got hit by a bird. After leaving his vehicle to go on the side of the road to check on the bird, the individual from the vehicle in front of him told Booth that he was actually struck by a BB gun.

Booth added that the pellet hit him right behind his ear. Booth and the other injured male refused to go to the hospital right after the incident. But, Booth did say he went to the hospital hours after the incident and is continuing to get treated for his wound.

Southwick Police said that they are continuing to investigate the situation.
