WESTFIELD: Vera (Evans) Gardner, 91, passed away in the comfort of her home on March 13, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Robert W. Gardner, in 2014. They were both long time members of Second Congregational United Church of Christ in Westfield. Vera leaves her children Nancy Ritchie of Westfield, Susan Provost and her husband Gerald of Chicopee, Robert Gardner and his wife Annie of Russell, and Linda Mullen and her husband Patrick of Westfield. She also leaves her 10 beloved grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her brother A. Ken Evans of Falmouth, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Kingra and his staff, the Noble VNA and Hospice, as well as a special thanks to Natalia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Noble VNA and Hospice. A private graveside service will take place in the spring. Forastiere Funeral Home in Southwick, MA is assisting the family.
