Westfield – Viola J. (Mancini) Daniels, 85, of Westfield died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at home. She was born in Watertown, MA on June 24, 1932 daughter of the late Anthony and Emma (Zaccagnini) Mancini. She moved to Westfield with her late husband John F. Daniels Jr. in 1966. Viola was employed as a Machine Operator for the former Old Colony Envelope Company for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield. Violawas a member of the Westfield Woman’s Club, the Westfield YMCA and its Pool Club, and she also was a volunteer at the Westfield Soup Kitchen. Viola was a very social person with a great sense of humor who always made her family a priority and she adored her grandchildren. Viola leaves her children, John D.Daniels and his wife Deborah of Westfield, MA, and Daniel A. Daniels and his wife Carolyn of Farmington, CT. Sharon Hardaway and her husband Ben of Summerville, S.C., Susan Ferreira and her husband Bill of Agawam, Patricia Binder and her husband Ralph of Hyannis. She also leaves two brothers Richard Mancini and Anthony Mancini both of Falmouth, three sisters, Anne Hill of Waltham, Rose Falvey of Brighton, and Dotty Casella of Bourne. Viola also leaves her grandchildren, Justin and Dannielle Hardaway, Alyssa and Lindsay Daniels, Jake and Nick Ferreira, Andrew, Caitlin and Molly Daniels. She was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Nicholas Mancini, a sister Eleanora Noe and her cherished granddaughter Emily Daniels Hardaway. The funeral will be Monday at 10 AM from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 AM, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
