WESTFIELD – Virginia “Gini” Claire (Woodbury) Edwards, 66, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at home. She was born in Westfield on September 19, 1946 to the late Harry and Claire (Marcoulier) Woodbury.
She was a longtime resident of Westfield and attended local schools, and worked at local nursing homes for 22 years. Virginia loved spending time with her grandchildren, loved her coffee, reading, crocheting, watching television and her animals. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She leaves her children, Jodi Tingley and her husband Richard, Tracy Skroczky and her husband Ronald all of Westfield, Robert Edwards II and his wife Tricia of South Hadley; her grandchildren, Zachary Edwards, Robert Edwards III, Anthony Edwards, Sierra Edwards; her step-grandchildren, Richard, Kayla and Brian Tingley and Alicia Skroczky. Virginia also leaves her ex-husband Robert Edwards of Agawam; her brother, David Woodbury; her sister, Lorriane Woodbury both of Westfield. She was predeceased by a grand daughter, Krista LeClerc in 1999.
The funeral for Virginia will be held on Friday, May 31st at 1:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 16 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday at the church from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
